Quickstart

Shorten your first link with a single request. The response includes the short URL and a secret code that lets you manage the link later.

Send a request

POST the destination to /api/links as JSON. No authentication is needed.

Keep the secret code

The secretCode in the response is shown only once. Store it to view stats, edit or delete the link.

Share the short URL

Use shortUrl anywhere. Clicks appear on the stats page at statsUrl.

Key concepts

Control modes Choose whether a link can be managed and tracked: full, statsOnly or none. Secret codes A per-link key in the form s-xxx-xxx-xxx that replaces an account for one link. Errors Every error has a stable errorKey you can branch on, plus a readable message. Rate limits 120 creations per 10 minutes and a daily cap per IP address.
